This is the end

Indeed, I have grown weary of this blog. I know, it seems kind of flighty. I do still want to try my hand at blogging, see if it's the creative outlet I'm looking for. But I think this blog was too restrictive. I need a free and open venue for composition, where I can, if I choose, review a movie or a restaurant, or say whatever the heck I want. That's right: heck.

Been a long time...

So I haven't exactly been posting as I've been watching. I've seen several movies since my first post and I've eaten at several restaurants.

I'll try to start reviewing as a I watch and dine; that way, I won't get behind. I'm a genius.

In case anyone ever does visit this blog and wants to know, the most recent film I've watched is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Excellent feature: it was true to the book, the acting was magnificent (especially considering the respective ages of the leads), and the message was moving, just as C.S. Lewis intended it.

In reviewing a book or movie, the author's or filmmaker's intent is paramount in giving the ultimate rating: if he or she did not accomplish what was intended, the work is, to some degree, a failure. In my opinion, both C.S. Lewis' and Andrew Adamson's intents were accomplished. Bravo.

A new creative outlet and a new way to waste time

That's what this is. I'm excited to be one more unknown author in a sea of amateurs that have delusions of a widespread reader base.

In spite of my cynicism: I am aware of a great many restaurants across the US, a few in Canada, some in London, and I want to share. People will enjoy good food and my favorite restaurants will stay in business. Everyone wins.

I am also quite opinionated when it comes to film. I now have a potential audience willing to listen to my analyses of movies and my recommendations of what to watch.

Read on and bask in my presumptuousness.
